Making your First Preset
By now, your Electra One controller should be set up and connected to the online Preset Library. Before moving on to the full User Guide, let’s take a quick, hands-on introduction and create your very first preset with a single control.
1. Create new preset
Go to MY PRESETS and click CREATE NEW PRESET button to open the Preset Editor.

2. Add a Control
A Control represents a MIDI parameter that can be assigned to a knob on the Electra One. Drag a Dial control from the repository of Controls at the bottom of the screen and drop it anywhere on the Layout grid.
The Layout grid mirrors the Electra One controller's screen.

3. Customize the control
Click the Dial control to select it. Then use the sidebar on the left side to adjust its settings, such as the name and color. Rename the control to Cutoff and choose the orange color.

Scroll down in the sidebar, if needed, and set the CC MIDI message parameter number to 10.

4. Add a group
Groups are visual elements used to organize and improve the layout of controls on the controller’s screen. Drag a Group from the repository and drop it into the Layout grid slot directly above the Cutoff control.

5. Customize the group
Just like the Cutoff control, select the group by clicking on it and use the sidebar to adjust its settings. Change the group’s name to VCF and set its vertical span to 1.

6. Rename the page
Pages help organize controls into logical groups that are shown together on the controller. Giving pages meaningful names makes it much easier to navigate and understand a preset.
Click the edit icon next to the Page 1 button above the Layout grid

and then use the sidebar to rename the page to Filter.

7. Rename the preset
Click the My Preset preset name in the top-left corner of the editor and rename the preset to First Preset.

8. Send the preset to your Electra One
Hit the SEND TO ELECTRA button on the right side to upload the Preset to your controller!

When you twist the knobs, or touch the screen on the Mk2, your Electra One will send CC 10 MIDI messages out. The preset is now active and ready to control your hardware or software instruments.
